Picture a morning in a small town market: a trader loading crates onto a two-wheeler, a delivery rider threading through traffic, a farmer heading out to the fields — all on the same kind of machine, all asking it to do far more than carry one person to work. On 4 November 2026, Bengaluru-based Altigreen, now part of the JAKSON Group, launched MINSARA, a purpose-built electric multi-utility two-wheeler designed exactly for that life — a vehicle the company says is engineered from the ground up to be a workhorse first and a commuter second.

The Altigreen MINSARA, the company’s first electric two-wheeler.
MINSARA marks Altigreen’s entry into India’s electric two-wheeler segment, expanding a portfolio built so far on its neEV electric cargo three-wheelers. The company says the new vehicle is aimed at the millions of Indians who depend on a two-wheeler for their livelihood — farmers, rural entrepreneurs, delivery professionals, small traders, service technicians and fleet operators — and that it is designed to be equally at home on urban streets, semi-urban markets and rural roads.
Built for work, not just for commuting
At the heart of MINSARA is a high-performance electric drivetrain that the company says delivers 172 Nm of peak torque and 33% gradeability, giving it strong pulling capability on inclines and challenging terrain. With a gross vehicle weight rating of 264 kg and a top speed of 75 km/h, it is engineered to carry loads as well as people — the everyday reality of a vehicle that doubles as a shop, a delivery van and a family runabout.
Durability is built into the chassis. The company says MINSARA rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with telescopic suspension and a high-endurance rib-caged chassis, a combination designed for stability, durability and riding comfort across varying road conditions. Crash guard protection, dual disc brakes with a Combined Braking System (CBS), a main stand and a side stand with a safety alert round out a specification shaped by hard daily use rather than showroom appeal.
Three variants, one idea
MINSARA comes in three variants to suit different customers. The MINSARA S carries a 2.78 kWh battery with a claimed range of 125 km, while the MINSARA S+ steps up to a 3.8 kWh battery and a claimed range of 165 km. The MINSARA SE adds a battery-swapping configuration for riders who need to keep moving without waiting to charge.
The vehicle is priced from ₹1.24 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes with a standard warranty of three years or 30,000 km, with extended warranty options planned. Bookings are open through Altigreen dealerships in Bengaluru, Vijayawada and Noida, with deliveries scheduled to begin on 1 December 2026, supported by the company’s growing 3S dealership network and after-sales service.
From cargo three-wheelers to a wider electric future
Deepak Thakur, CEO of JAKSON Green Vehicles, said India’s mobility requirements are as diverse as its people, and that MINSARA brings together utility, performance and sustainable technology to meet real-world needs. Amitabh Saran, CTO and Founder of Altigreen, said the company has always believed technology must solve real customer problems, and that MINSARA embodies its continued commitment to innovative, Made-in-India electric mobility.
The company says the launch is a significant milestone in its expansion strategy, broadening its electric mobility portfolio beyond cargo three-wheelers into the two-wheeler multi-utility segment, with plans to enter the passenger three-wheeler category soon. For the riders who load up before dawn and keep going long after dark, MINSARA is built to be a long-life earning partner — an Indian electric two-wheeler designed around the work India actually does.
